Operation Avalanche was designed to change that by alerting Canadians on the spot and providing them with tools to protect themselves before funds were drained.
The Results
Canadian authorities reported intercepting dozens of active scam operations and warning thousands of potential victims before significant losses occurred. The operation is being held up as a model for proactive law enforcement engagement with crypto fraud — moving beyond after-the-fact investigations toward real-time intervention. Victims of crypto scams in Canada are encouraged to report incidents to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC).
